Riot Games has revealed that one of VALORANT’s most underpowered agents, Harbor, will finally receive a rework to his kit in the end-of-year patch update.

The news was shared during VALORANT Champions 2025 in Paris, where it was announced that the highly anticipated change will arrive with Patch 11.10.

During an interview at VALORANT Champions, Ryan Cousart, Game Designer at Riot Games, said: “A lot of Harbor’s identity is still true, and we wanted to make sure that was there, where he is kind of this Initiator [and] Controller hybrid.

“So there’s a lot of stuff that we’re going to be kind of shuffling around and making you think about those abilities in a different way. But we also have a couple of new abilities that we wanted to add through”

Harbor is considered to be one of the weakest agents in the current season, with one of the lowest win rates in the game. He is also a character that sees little to no esports play, for example, he was not picked once by any professional player during VCT 2025 Americas kickoff.

Only time will tell how effective the changes will be for the Indian agent, and whether it will make him a more viable pick on certain maps amongst the meta characters.

Patch 11.10

The rework is expected to arrive alongside the end-of-year patch, which will also bring about other balance and quality of life changes to shake up the game.

During an interview, Tiffy Tsay, Senior Product Manager at Riot Games, said: “We do try to strive for small balance patches throughout the year to kind of like, address outliers. But sometimes we do need to take bigger swings at things in one go.

“And that’s what kind of the goal for the end-of-year patches is. It’s really to set up the foundations for next year so that when you come back into next year, the game is feeling fresh and we are ready for all the new content to come out too.”

A release date for Patch 11.10 has yet to be revealed, but is expected to roll out as part of the next season.
