Rainbow Six Siege X developer Ubisoft has revealed what to expect in the upcoming Year 10 Season 4 update.
Changes include an operator remaster, a map rework, and ranked matchmaking improvement alongside other additions to the tactical first person shooter.
These changes were first teased to players back in May this year, when Ubisoft released its full roadmap for Year 10 following the Siege X overhaul.
Details are sparse at the time of writing; however, the official roadmap unveils more information about what’s coming in the new season.
There will be an attack operator remaster, similar to the defender Clash rework earlier this year, and a new cross weapon available for multiple operators.
Major features this time around include an update to the game’s Dualfront mode. The new season also brings a full map rework that will be added to the Ranked playlist, in addition to the modernisation of Theme Park and Skyscraper. Ranked matchmaking improvements are underway, addressing a common criticism from fans since the Siege X update.
Ubisoft also teased the latest balance changes coming to the game, focusing this time around on EMP, jamming systems and adjusting hard-breacher operators.
According to the official webpage for Year 10 Season 4, quality of life improvements will also be implemented to the training mode. These include adding AI allies to Enlisted and Field Training, adding moving defenders in Target Drill, and adding a mini-map feature to the training playlist.
New Features Coming to Siege X
Year 10 Season 4 will also see the launch of the Testing Grounds playlist, a public experiment mode that allows players to try out developing features and give feedback before they are added to the live game. The first Testing Ground’s topic coming to Siege X will be changes to how armour and speed works.
Various events will also be held in the first-person shooter, including the Rainbow Six Siege 10 Year Anniversary, celebrating the game’s journey since its launch on December 1, 2015. Details for the event have yet to be confirmed, but fans anticipate exclusive cosmetic items and potentially a limited-time mode.
