Six teams from the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025 Group Stage have qualified for the Grand Finals.
The remaining two slots will be filled through the Last Chance Qualifier, taking place on December 6th and 7th.
The group stage saw 32 teams split into two groups of 16, with each squad compete across 18 matches.
In Group Green, Alpha Gaming, DPlus, and Goat Time finished in the top three to qualify for the Grand Finals. Meanwhile, notable teams such as China’s Tianba and India’s Orangutan faced elimination.
Over in Group Red, though, the battle was much closer. With DRX and Regnum Carya building an early lead in the standings, only one spot to the Grand Finals was up for grabs — and five teams were still in contention until the last match.
In the last match, third placing Team Flash got eliminated early, leading to EArena securing second place with seven kills, propelling it to a PMGC Grand Finals slot.
The PMGC 2025 Grand Finals is set to take place from December 12th to 14th as 16 teams compete for a share of the $3m (~£2,251,275) prize pool.
What to Expect from PMGC Last Chance Qualifier
Teams placed between fourth and eleventh in each group will now compete in the Last Chance Qualifier for the final two Grand Finals spots.
16 teams will play 12 matches across two days, with only the top two advancing.
Multiple notable organisations will be fighting for survival in LCQ, including Team Falcons, Wolves Esports, Alter Ego, Influence Rage, and Weibo Gaming.
Among these, Weibo Gaming came into the PMGC 2025 as one of the favourites to win it all as the team came second in the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) earlier this year.
However, the squad’s group stage run wasn’t ideal as it struggled to keep up with the dominance of DRX and Regnum Carya, despite maintaining a top five place consistently.
