As the name suggests, the event is created by popular streamer and former Counter-Strike 2 player Erik “fl0m” Flom and is scheduled to take place this weekend at the HyperX Arena from January 9th to January 11th, the event.

Monster Energy’s fl0m Mythical LAN will see eight teams from the Counter-Strike 2 scene compete for a share of the $30,000 (~£22,367) prize pool, as well as the chance to improve their VRS positions in the competitive circuit.

“iBUYPOWER has a history and heritage in Counter-Strike that we’ll never forget and it’s time we get back to our roots,” said King Perez de Tagle, Marketing Executive Producer for iBUYPOWER.

“Our partnership with fl0m and our sponsorship of fl0m’s Mythical LAN kicks off our commitment to supporting and developing the NA CS scene for the teams, the fans, and the tournament organizers that keep the dream alive. Stay tuned for more news this year!”

Among the invited participants are some of the top organisations in the Counter-Strike 2 North American scene. M80, NRG, SkinRave Esports, Marsborne, Team Voca, BOSS, regain, and Phoenix will first compete in Group Stage following a double-elimination format, featuring best-of-three series.

The top two teams from each group will then advance to the playoff stage, where they will compete in one additional single-elimination bracket played as best-of-three series. The winner will be taking home $12,500 (~£9,319).

According to a release, the event will also see activities outside of the esports competition. Attendees will get access to a variety of on-site games and activities, along with a chance to meet some of the leading personalities in the NA CS2 scene, including Sean ‘sgares‘ Gares, Jason ‘Moses‘ O’Toole, and Mikel ‘Dink‘ Pemán, among others.

The LAN event will be live-streamed on fl0m’s Twitch channel starting today at 5 PM PST (1 AM BST).

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
