MOONTON has extended its partnership with OPPO to bring the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Hyper Legend Cup with a $100,000 (~£72,500) prize pool.

The developer said in a press release that the prize pool is the highest ever for a college-level tournament and will be open to players from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore.

MLBB x OPPO Hyper Legend Cup Details

According to MOONTON, registrations for the OPPO Hyper Legend Cup will begin soon. It will be open to university teams from the mentioned Southeast Asian countries.

The top teams of the collegiate-level qualifiers will move on to the finals, which will happen in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in April 2026. These top college teams will also compete alongside ‘legendary icons’, just like the previous edition of the tournament, which was called the Smooth Legend Cup.

MOONTON also said that the finale will feature musical acts featuring Malaysian artists and exclusive appearances from cosplayers.

Last year’s tournament featured a focus on grassroots competition with open qualifiers. In the finals, teams composed of ex-veterans were invited. Eventually, IDONOTSLEEP won the legendary team competition, while the Philippines’ Maru Gamerpact Esports was the grassroots champion.

The OPPO Hyper Legend Cup is one of the first major MLBB esports tournaments of 2026. The game is set to feature a stacked calendar this year.

This includes new intercontinental championships in the Americas, Europe, and SEA, with EECA and EMEA planned in the future. The Mid-Season Cup is set to return to Saudi Arabia while the M8 will head to Turkey in January 2026. The game is also set to be a part of the inaugural Esports Nations Cup (ENC).

Ramadan Grand Rewards Campaign and Exclusive Skin Access

The MLBB x OPPO partnership’s renewal coincides with the launch of the Reno15 Series, which can run the game at 90FPS. Besides the collegiate tournament, OPPO is bringing the Ramadan Grand Rewards Campaign and also offering fans exclusive skin access.

The Ramadan Grand Rewards Campaign offers exclusive merchandise to users who purchase the new phone. Furthermore, it will feature theme takeovers in select OPPO stores.

Lastly, the OPPO app will feature lottery draws where players can participate to win code redemption keys. These keys can be used to get in-game MLBB hero skins.
