Esports tournament organiser PGL has revealed the teams that have received invites to compete in Dota 2’s upcoming PGL Wallachia Season 7 closed qualifiers.

Taking place from January 26th to 29th, 2026, across four regions, the winner of each closed qualifier will earn a place in the main tournament.

Unveiled on January 20th, a total of 15 teams from across Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Asia, and the Americas have received invitations for the closed qualifiers. For Eastern Europe, the trio of 1win, AVULUS, and Power Rangers will compete in the eight-team qualifier alongside five teams that earn a place through two open qualifiers.

Western Europe sees the pair of Virtus.pro and Nigma Galaxy earning an opportunity to qualify for the main event. Similar to the other closed qualifiers, teams from the open qualifiers will join them and face off in a double-elimination bracket.

The Asia qualifier features several notable names. Vici Gaming, Yakult Brothers, Rekonix, PlayTime, Execration, and Team Nemesis take six of the eight spots, with one team from each open qualifier rounding out the field.

For the Americas, GamerLegion, Peru Rejects, Looking For Org, and HEROIC complete the full list of invited teams.

PGL Wallachia Season 7 Details

The four winners of the regional closed qualifiers book their place in the main event, where a total of 16 teams compete for a $1m (~£742,345) prize pool in Bucharest, Romania.

Notably, PGL hasn’t revealed the teams directly invited to the main event taking place from March 5th to 15th.

Between 2025 and 2028, it plans to host 13 tournaments, each with a $1m prize pool. This year, PGL will host three tournaments in March, April, and November, respectively.
