Esports data platform GRID Esports has extended its partnership with management company EMG and tournament organiser StarLadder.

As a result of the partnership, GRID has become the exclusive data partner of the Global Esports Tour Dubai 2022.

GRID will provide data solutions for Global Esports Tour’s broadcast and commercial partners. Additionally, the GRID Data Platform will be utilised to bolster data and video security for the event.

Taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the Global Esports Tour Dubai 2022 is a $250,000 (~£199,700) CS:GO tournament. Some of the invited teams include European organisations MOUZ, Ninjas in Pyjamas and OG, as well as North American organisation Complexity Gaming.

The Global Esports Tour Dubai 2022 is set to commence on 9th June and is officially part of the EMG 2022 Festival, a two-day gaming and entertainment event.

The extension is the latest in a long list of renewals by GRID Esports. So far this year, the data company has signed new deals with BLAST Premier, WePlay Esports and Epic Esports Events. Moreover, the company announced a two-year VALORANT partnership with Riot Games, as well as launching a global CS:GO circuit with various tournament organisers.

Charlie Hanley-Nickolls, Chief Product Officer at GRID, commented: “The continuation of our collaboration with StarLadder has been a great testimony to the long-term vision for the Partnerships we cultivate at GRID.

“Our goal is always to team up with the visionary Right Holders like StarLadder,  who understand the power of data and aim to build the sustainable ecosystem powered by the official data assets.”

Founded in 2001, StarLadder is largely known for its StarSeries esports tournaments across CS:GO, Dota 2, PUBG and HearthStone. The company recently hosted the PUBG Continental Series: Series 6.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
