UK-based esports organisation Tundra Esports has announced Dutch footballer Virgil van Dijk as an Ambassador and Shareholder.

Van Dijk will help promote the organisation in addition to providing support for its roster of esports players.

The Liverpool FC defender becomes the second ambassador of Tundra, joining British grime MC P Money who has collaborated with the organisation to create a music video unveiling van Dijk.

According to a release Van Dijk will look to ‘integrate himself further into the gaming community’ in addition to supporting and developing Tundra’s business goals.

Van Dijk becomes the latest footballer to enter the gaming and esports industries. He joins the likes of Everton player Dele Alli who became a global ambassador of EXCEL ESPORTS in November 2020. Additionally, Harry Maguire and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are ambassadors of British esports organisation SMPR.

Tundra Esports currently fields rosters in Fortnite, FIFA, and Dota 2 in addition to its roster of six content creators. Most recently, the organisation joined forces with gaming café chain SideQuest in a deal that enables it to use all SideQuest facilities as training bootcamps.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
