Generation Esports, founder of the High School Esports League (HSEL), has launched Speedway, a new competition in collaboration with sim racing platform iRacing.

The three series’ are open to HSEL students, college students in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and members of the armed forces through the Military Gaming League (MGL).

50 drivers for each series will be selected after applying through a social media campaign. Additionally, each driver receives a box containing steering wheels, sim racing equipment and exclusive merchandise.

Drivers will compete in a four-race regular season that features qualifying heats before the main event race where drivers will earn points. Following the regular season, drivers leading the standings will compete on November 5th for a chance to become champion.

2022 continues to be a year of growth for Generation Esports. In recent months, the company secured $19m (~£16.4m) in its latest funding round in addition to launching a new scholastic gaming curriculum.

The growth of sim racing also shows no signs of slowing down. In August, the Monaco Esports Federation announced the Principality will host the Sim Racing World Cup Finals taking place in October.

Jon Bukosky, Chief Commercial Officer at Generation Esports, spoke on the launch: “iRacing’s world-class simulation brings a whole new opportunity to the scholastic and military esports communities.

“We wanted to celebrate this by creating something that is unique, bold, and innovative. That is what Speedway is and we’re excited to share this with each community.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
