GameSquare Esports adds eight new personnel to bolster operations

Esports holding company GameSquare Esports has added eight new team members to its leadership structure to further increase revenue growth.

The company has hired former VICE Media Group, 100 Thieves, Rodale and Twitch employees, among others, to speed up growth across both GameSquare and its esports organisation Complexity Gaming.

GameSquare is perhaps most known as the owner of Complexity Gaming. However, the company also owns agency Code Red Esports, esports organisation LGD Gaming, as well as a Rainbow Six team called Rainbow 7. GameSquare also recently launched Mission Supply, its own merchandise company.

The new team members are led by the new COO for GameSquare, Jill Peters, an executive with more than 20 years of experience. The new Chief Strategy Officer for the company is Paolo DiPasquale, who joins GameSquare after working for Canaccord Genuity. DiPasquale has more than 16 years of experience in investment banking and equity.

Bee Yancey, the new Head of Partnerships and Brand Experience for GameSquare, has worked with a number of high-profile brands prior to joining the company. According to the company, Yancey worked with Nike, PepsiCo, Neiman Marcus and Jordan Brand.

Complexity Gaming also bolstered its ranks with new members. First of them is Jessey Finizio, its new VP of sponsorship sales, who worked at Twitch and VICE Media Group. Greg Hampton, the Director of Sponsorship Sales, joins from Twitch. Meanwhile,new Social Media Director Jon Schmid is arriving from 100 Thieves.

Stephanie Cohen, the new Senior Director of Brand Partnerships for GCN (Gaming Community Network) and Jack McAuliffe, new Senior Director of West Coast Sales for GCN, round up the list of new hires for GameSquare. The new members join from Spark and Mindshare, as well as Rodale, respectively.
