Rocket League developer Psyonix has announced an expansion of the game’s esports shop, which contains a range of in-game items.

As a result, seven new teams will gain ‘Home and Away’ esports decals, including multinational esports organisation Gen.G, European organisation Quadrant, and South American organisation EndGame.

In addition to EndGame, Quadrant, and Gen.G, Oceania’s Ground Zero Gaming has entered the in-game shop in addition to European organisations Resolve, Solary and Tundra Esports. The new teams will receive car decals, player banners, and more within the esports shop.

Alongside announcing new teams for the 2022/23 RLCS season, Psyonix has also announced plans to add player banners and goal explosions for all available 33 RLCS teams. Rocket League announced its revenue-sharing programme with RLCS teams back in 2019.

Rocket League continues to consolidate its position as one of the most popular esports titles. In recent months, esports data firm Abios has added live Rocket League data to its analytics portfolio while team-finding service TEAMS.gg has expanded to include the game.

The RLCS season is currently in its Winter split which culminates with the Winter Major taking place as part of DreamHack San Diego from April 6th-9th.

The Winter split is the second of three splits that count towards the season-ending world championship. The tournament will feature a $2.1m (~£1.7m) prize pool. In February 2022, the RLCS entered a partnership with North American convenience store chain 7-Eleven in a deal that secured naming rights to a regional RLCS event.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
