The UK Esports Teams Committee (UKETC) has announced changes to its leadership structure.

Moving forward, Daniel Chung, Chief Operating Officer of MNM Gaming, and Jeff Simpkins, Chief Operating Officer of Williams Resolve, will take on the roles of Chair and Vice Chair respectively as voted by the Committee. Chung and Simpkins are both founding members of the UKETC.

Oliver Weingarten and Stuart Brown have now stepped down from their roles as Chair and Vice Chair respectively. However, they will both remain members of the Committee.

Weingarten and Brown were responsible for a number of changes, according to a release, such as composing the UKETC’s Principles; bringing more esports events to the UK; and working with government officials to increase the awareness and status of UK esports.

Alongside stepping up as Chair, Chung will also continue in his role as COO at MNM Gaming. He founded the organisation alongside CEO Kalvin Chung in 2013. Similarly, Simpkins will remain Resolve Esports’ COO. He has been with the organisation for more than a year.

The newly appointed UKETC Chair Chung commented: “It’s an honour to be elected by my peers to represent the UKETC as the Chairman. Olly [Weingarten] and Stu [Brown] have done a fantastic job moving the UKETC forwards to reach our goals. With Jeff [Simpkins] taking on the role of Vice Chair, we will continue to build on the UKETC and improve esports for UK teams.”

Founded in 2021, the UKETC aims to act as a ‘collective voice’ for UK teams across industry discussions. Representatives include the likes of Fnatic, the London Royal Ravens, EXCEL ESPORTS, Manchester City Esports and Guild Esports.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
