Indian esports platform Mobile Global Esports (MOGO) has appointed Nick Venezia, CEO of Social Outlier, as its Chief Data Officer.

In his new role, Venezia will use his expertise in driving data value to further help MOGO build out the Indian collegiate esports market.

Venezia has spent the last decade working with clients from various industries, including gaming and esports. This includes working with Activision to create custom software for Call of Duty: Ghosts’ global reveal. He was also an early contributor to the digital-marketing teams of various social media platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn and Snapchat.

Moreover, Venezia has worked with many consumer brands, helping them define and connect with their constituent audiences and prospective customers. This aspect of his expertise aligns well with MOGO’s plans to become India’s biggest student-centric mobile gaming firm.

Along the way, Venezia has managed to set up his own businesses by founding marketing agency Social Outlier, as well as client dashboard DeepPod. His latest project, Centillion, has seen him bring together a community of data architects, with the mission to help people exercise sovereignty over personal data.

The newly appointed Chief Data Officer commented on his appointment: “I’m very excited about the opportunity for MOGO to be ahead of the curve in building the infrastructure that will allow for esports to flourish in the new era of internet privacy regulations in India. Our job and duty are to protect our players, our customers and our partners.

“We are engineering an interface for gamers and users to interact with and build on top of while making the data available to build the games of tomorrow designed and tailored to that specific human. MOGO will be creating extremely valuable datasets that also respect individual consent and align with future privacy standards while delivering qualified and high-value audiences.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
