Formula One team Williams Racing has announced a multi-year partnership with global oil manufacturer Gulf Oil International.

Alongside supporting the team and its driver academy, Gulf will also join forces with Williams Esports, the team’s sim racing division.

According to a release, the Gulf logo will appear on the apparel of Williams Esports alongside its other partners that include sim racing hardware manufacturer Fanatec and peripherals brand Razer.

Additionally, the collaboration between Williams Racing and Gulf will allow the oil manufacturer to reach new audiences through a range of activations. Details on the activations were not revealed.

The partnership with Williams Racing marks Gulf’s first foray into the esports industry. The company, however, is no stranger to real-world racing, having collaborated with McLaren throughout 2022. Gulf becomes the ninth partner of Williams Esports, joining battery manufacturer Duracell, and PC manufacturer Chillblast on its expanding roster.

Aside from sim racing, Williams also features in Rocket League and Fortnite thanks to its partnership with UK esports organisation Resolve.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
