KRAFTON, the developer of the battle royale game PUBG: Battlegrounds, has announced new details about the PUBG competitive ecosystem in the EMEA region.

The introduction of the PUBG EMEA Championship (PEC), is part of a number of changes in the PUBG ecosystem. Changes in the tournament format have been announced, along with new regional partner teams that will automatically qualify for the PEC.

The PUBG EMEA Championship will be the new main EMEA tournament in PUBG. The EMEA teams will compete for a share of the event’s $100,000 (£83,200) prize pool.

The competitive season will be divided into two splits, the first of which is the Spring Split which ends in late March 2023. Throughout the season, teams will collect PGC Points, and six of the best EMEA teams will be seeded in the PGC every year.

There will also be third-party ‘wildcard’ tournaments in the year, with the best teams qualifying for some PEC events.

PUBG developers also announced five regional partner teams for this year. These teams will join three of PUBG’s global partner teams  — FaZe Clan, NACI and Twisted Minds — bringing the total in the EMEA region to eight. The regional partner teams are ACEND CLUB, BBL Esports, Digital Athletics, Entropiq and FUT Esports.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
