Swedish esports and gaming communications agency FRAME has announced Dota legend Joakim ‘Akke’ Akterhall, as well as Daniel Rapp and Magnus Rapp, as minority stakeholders.

The trio, who have invested an undisclosed amount in the agency, will help FRAME grow its presence in the Nordics and Europe with their esports experience.

FRAME is a gaming and esports communications agency from Sweden. The company has worked with notable esports companies in the past, such as PGL, a notable tournament organiser.

Akterhall is a well known former European Dota 2 player who was a part of the Alliance roster that won The International in 2013. After his professional gaming career, Akterhall worked as a software engineer and is now joining FRAME as a co-owner.

Akterhall is joined by brothers Daniel and Magnus Rapp who have a background in fintech, investment and gaming. The duo noted that acquiring an interest in FRAME is a part of their strategy of supporting the Swedish gaming scene.

Magnus Rapp, a minority owner of FRAME, commented: “Gaming has become mainstream, but no other agency in the Nordics understands the industry like FRAME does, so for us, it was a no-brainer to join the cause and help brands communicate with the gaming audience while at the same time contributing to the culture around me and my brother’s favourite pastime.”

In 2023 a variety of notable personalities within the esports and gaming space have already invested in esports entities. Some notable examples include content creator Karl Jacobs becoming an owner of Misfits as well as streamer Ludwig Ahgren being named a co-owner of North American esports organisation Moist Esports.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
