In addition to working on testing and activations, SteelSeries and KontrolFreek will equip Cavs Legion players and the Cavs Legion Lair with headsets and performance gaming gear. The Cavs Legion Lair is the franchise’s facility used for practice and competition during the NBA 2K League season.

The Cavs Legion Gaming Club is backed by the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA team and is one of 25 teams competing in the league. 22 of the 25 teams are backed by NBA teams alongside the likes of Gen.G and Australia’s National Basketball League.

SteelSeries and KontrolFreek continue to consolidate their positions in the esports industry. In April 2022, the two firms partnered with Call of Duty League (CDL) franchise Atlanta FaZe and in March 2023, SteelSeries renewed its existing deal with Hong Kong-based organisation Talon Esports.

The five-versus-five portion of the NBA 2K League commences on May 23rd with The Tipoff Powered by AT&T and will conclude on August 5th.

Jonathan Sumers, Vice President of the Cavs Legion Gaming Club and Esports Operations, spoke on the deal: “SteelSeries and KontrolFreek are industry leaders in elite performance gaming gear.

“We are proud to be part of the SteelSeries and KontrolFreek family and look forward to long and fruitful partnerships that put us in a position to play at the highest level now and into the future.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
