Knights Arena, the esports event division of North American esports organisation Knights, will host a VALORANT LAN tournament.
Known as the Knight’s Forge, the tournament will take place from September 21st-24th in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.
Open to all North American teams, the Knight’s Forge will see 32 teams compete for a share of its $15,000 (~£11,627) prize pool and marks the first in-person VALORANT event organised by Knights Arena.
Knights Arena is no stranger to organising VALORANT competitions. In November 2022, it joined forces with Riot Games to operate VCT Challengers and VCT Game Changers circuits in North America. Due to Knights Arena’s responsibility to host VCT tournaments, the organisation no longer fields a VALORANT roster.
According to a release, the Knight’s Forge will feature a ‘high-tech esports main stage’ in addition to a range of sponsorship activations and signing sessions with the players in attendance.
Esports organisations continue to host VALORANT tournaments outside of Riot Games’ VCT circuit. In March, Complexity hosted an invitational event aimed at female and non-binary teams and players and in January, Lionscreed launched a tournament for UK university and college students.
The competition will feature a registration structure, with ‘early bird entries’ priced at $325 (~£250), regular entries at $400 (~£309) and late registrations at $500 (~£387). Spectator passes start at $25 (~£19) per day.
