The League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) has renewed its partnership with gaming monitor sub-brand LG UltraGear.

As a result, LG UltraGear will be the LEC’s monitor partner for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

As the monitor partner of the LEC, LG UltraGear will provide a range of monitors for players and casters taking part in Europe’s highest tier of League of Legends esports. The renewal marks the third year of the LEC collaborating with the monitor brand after first joining forces in January 2022.

In addition to providing monitors, LG UltraGear will sponsor in-game replays that are shown during LEC broadcasts to provide fans with a second chance to view important parts of matches.

The Winter split of the 2024 LEC season commences on January 13th and will see the group stage and playoffs merged in a bid to improve the experiences for fans watching at the LEC Studio in Berlin and online. The top eight teams will qualify for the playoffs for a chance to win a share of €80,000 (~£68,782) in prize money and Championship Points that will decide the six teams competing in the LEC 2024 Season Finals in August.

Renewing the LEC’s partnership with LG UltraGear is the latest in a string of renewals for Riot Games. In January, the league renewed deals with chocolate brand KitKat, Kia Europe and Secret Labs.

Eva Suarez, Head of Esports Partnerships EMEA at Riot Games, spoke on the renewal: “We’re delighted to be continuing our partnership with LG for the next two years.

”We are looking forward to seeing how an innovative partner like LG will continue to power our new Riot Games Arena with their UltraGear monitors, and how they look to leverage the exciting opportunities that this partnership will provide.”

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
