Esports coaching and performance platform Akolyte has announced that it will continue its partnership with European esports organisation G2 Esports for another year.

As a result, Akolyte will deliver a year-long development programme for the organisation’s leadership and team staff.

The programme, set to run throughout 2024, will see Akolyte practitioners work alongside G2 Esports’ Performance Coach Ismael Pedraza and Head of Esports Julius Ylänne. According to a release, the programme will feature ‘group workshops, peer reflections, and internal observations’ which aim to promote a ‘culture of excellence’ within the organisation. In addition, there will be a focus on the well-being of its staff.

G2 Esports and Akolyte first collaborated in March 2023 to focus on the organisation’s team managers and coaching staff. The Berlin-based organisation has achieved several accolades across the esports scene in recent years, with the organisation recently being crowned LEC Winter split champions and securing qualification for Counter-Strike 2’s PGL Copenhagen Major taking place in March 2024.

Akolyte is no stranger to supporting esports organisations. In January 2024, it partnered with German esports organisation SPINEBUSTERS to optimise its team’s practising schedules and team coordination.

For G2 Esports, the extension of its Akolyte partnerships takes the total number of partners on its roster to 17. Alongside Akolyte, the organisation’s portfolio of partners includes Red Bull, audio streaming platform Spotify, and gambling company M88 Mansion, among others..

Julius Ylänne, Head of Esports at G2 Esports, spoke on the partnership extension: “Excited to kick off another year with Akolyte!

“It is important to keep providing our staff opportunities to step away from the day-to-day grind and reflect on their personal development, as well as offer possibilities for peer support.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
