Esports holding company NIP Group has announced the establishment of a new game publishing division.

The company’s new endeavour will focus on esports-oriented titles, including developing mini-games for social media platforms, mobile games and PC games. According to a release, the division aims to expand NIP Group’s digital entertainment ecosystem as well as strengthen its competition in the gaming market and capitalise on emerging trends.

NIP Group Chief Operating Officer, Hang ‘Allen’ Sui, will be the main lead behind the game publishing division. With close to 15 years of experience in the gaming and esports industry, Sui previously worked as an associate director for technology company Tencent before joining NIP. His experience includes working on the publishing and operations of various global competitive gaming projects such as Monument Valley 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds and VALORANT.

NIP Group made headlines over the summer after announcing its IPO on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange. The traded company, NIP Group, is the esports venture created through a merger between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Chinese esports brand ESV5, which happened back in early 2023.

The company is currently trading at $6.99 (~£5.34) with its peak occurring on July 29th at a price of $16.50 (~£12.61) per share. NIP Group currently has operations in Sweden, China, Abu Dhabi and Brazil, and competes across multiple game titles including League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Rainbow Six Siege, VALORANT, Rocket League and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

On the commercial side, NIP Group recently announced a seven-year deal with hospitality company BTG Homeinns to develop and operate esports-themed hotels in China.

Mario Ho, Chairman and Co-CEO of NIP Group, commented: “Our entry into the game publishing industry marks an exciting milestone for NIP Group.

“This move is a natural extension of our vision to deliver a comprehensive and immersive entertainment experience. We are eager to introduce innovative and captivating games to the market, and we are confident that this new venture will bring significant success and growth to our company.”
