Multinational sports entertainment company Topgolf has announced a brand new map in Fortnite where players can participate in a golf driving range game.

According to the release, the aim behind the Topgolf Fortnite map — on the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) — is to blend ‘real-world excitement with the creativity and interactivity of the metaverse.’

Topgolf is a business where consumers can experience a driving range with electronically tracked golf balls. The experience includes food and drink and has locations in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Mexico, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.

The in-game map has a Topgolf facility with a variety of mini-games that players can participate in. This includes modes where players get to explore Topgolf locations from around the world: Santa Monica, Bangkok, Dubai and Las Vegas.

To launch the new Fortnite map, professional Fortnite players Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf and Cody ‘Clix’ Conrod streamed the game mode on Twitch. As part of the advertising for the Topgolf map, Fortnite content creators Nate Hill and Kyle ‘Kazify’ Rapozo will promote the map on their respective social media platforms and offer promotional codes with discounts on USA Topgolf locations.

The strategic partnership was secured by Zoned, a full-service marketing agency under GameSquare Holdings. Moreover, this is not the first time that Zoned has orchestrated a deal to build a map in Fortnite. Dairy advocacy group Dairy MAX launched a UEFN world-building map campaign in Fortnite’s Farm Tycoon in partnership with Zoned earlier this year.

This new map is Topgolf’s first step into Fortnite and could pave the way for more expansion into gaming as a whole.

Topgolf Chief Brand Officer Geoff Cottrill spoke on the deal: “At Topgolf, we’re always seeking for ways to connect people through play, and our collaboration with Fortnite is the perfect way to bring the fun of Topgolf to the virtual world.

“This map is designed to deliver the same excitement and energy you experience at one of our venues. We can’t wait to see how players come together to enjoy the game in a whole new way!”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
