Team Falcons and Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) have ended their Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) partnerships with AP.Bren and Team Flash, respectively.
The esports organisations entered the MLBB competitive scene last year under the moniker AP.Bren Falcons and NIP Flash.
Team Flash announced the end of its MLBB journey with Ninjas in Pyjamas in a Facebook post today. Meanwhile, fellow Southeast Asian esports organisation AP.Bren revealed its decision on Facebook last week.
Falcons and NIP were among several organisations to expand into mobile esports title MLBB in 2024. The Saudi Arabian team signed its deal with AP.Bren on May 31st, citing the Esports World Cup (EWC) as a major incentive for the decision.
Throughout the event, participating teams accumulated EWC points across multiple esports titles to determine the most successful organisation. As AP.Bren’s roster had already qualified for the MLBB Mid-Season Cup at the EWC, Falcons were able to secure additional points through the collaboration.
“After nearly a year of incredible collaboration, Team Falcons and AP Bren are now parting ways,” stated the Filipino esports organisation.
“Though our journey together ends here, the bond we’ve built and the memories we’ve shared will always remain.”
NiP Flash was also created ahead of the EWC on June 12th. In addition to the name change, the partnership featured the creation of a line of co-branded merchandise.
The joint team earned several competitive achievements during the 2024 MLBB season, including the MPL Singapore Season 8 title, a top-four position at the MLBB Mid-Season Cup and qualification to the M6 World Championship.
Falcons and NIP’s announcements are not the only recent developments in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports scene. On January 4th, Fnatic ended its MLBB partnership with Filipino esports organisation ONIC Philippines, despite winning the M6 World Champions title under the Fnatic ONIC PH name.
Moreover, Blacklist International recently announced the sale of its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang franchise spot in MPL Philippines.
