Southeast Asian esports organisation Team Flash has announced a partnership with Swedish esports organisation Ninjas in Pyjamas.
As a result of the deal, Ninjas in Pyjamas will enter Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports with Team Flash’s team being renamed to NiP Flash.
In addition to a name change, the two parties will ‘explore additional partnership avenues’ that includes creating a line of co-branded merchandise.
NiP Flash competes in MPL Singapore and holds the top spot in its regular season table. The first matches under the new name are set to take place June 14th to 16th during the MPL Singapore Season 7 playoffs. The winner of the event will qualify for the MLBB Mid Season Cup which takes place at the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia.
Ninjas in Pyjamas is the latest Western organisation to expand into Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports, with the likes of Fnatic, Team Vitality, Team Liquid and Falcons all entering the mobile MOBA’s ecosystem.
In March 2024, the mobile title was also added to ESL FACEIT Group’s Snapdragon Pro Series while April saw MOONTON unveiled a set of tournament-focused features for third-party competitions.
Mark Chew, CEO of Team Flash, spoke on the deal: “This partnership not only strengthens our position in the MLBB arena, but also opens up new opportunities for innovation and growth.
“Together with NIP, we will continue to push the boundaries of excellence.”
