The third Major of the 2025 Call of Duty League (CDL) season is April 24th to 27th, 2025 in Boca Raton, California.

Ahead of the event’s start, Esports Insider has created a brief guide overviewing the third LAN event of the season. This contains everything there is to know about Call of Duty League Major 3 and its wider impact on the Call of Duty esports ecosystem.

Major 3 is the third of five LAN events that form this year’s CDL calendar and, like previous Majors, all 12 CDL franchises are competing with the aim of CDL Points and a share of the prize pool as the focus starts turning towards Championship Weekend.

Call of Duty League 2025 Major 3 Format

The 12 franchise teams are placed into a double-elimination bracket based on seeding determined by three weeks of online qualification matches.

The top eight teams are drawn into the winner’s bracket while the remaining four teams begin the tournament in the elimination bracket where one loss is required to eliminate them from the tournament.

Major 3 is the first LAN of the 2025 CDL season and is the first Major where the v1.3 competitive settings will be used. Additionally, this is the first event where Dealership and Rewind maps will feature in Search and Destroy.

The CDL has yet to share information on the prize money. However, Major 2 had a prize pool of $365,000 (~£274,973), meaning a similar amount is likely to be up for grabs.

The eight highest-placing teams will earn CDL Points, which will decide the seeding for Major 4 taking place in Dallas, Texa,s from May 23rd to 25th, 2025.

Call of Duty League Major 3 Teams to Watch

After securing its first victory during the Major 3 qualifiers, Vegas Falcons has significantly improved after recruiting three North American players to its roster. With one Major and another three weeks of qualifiers remaining, there’s an outside chance the Saudi-owned franchise.

Heading into Major 3, the Los Angeles Thieves has the top seed and after two consecutive top-four finishes, the team will be looking to go one better and take outright victory.

Despite winning the previous two Majors, Atlanta FaZe heads into the tournament as the sixth seed. Despite its turbulent online form, the team has an excellent opportunity to win three consecutive Majors and cement itself as one of the most dominant rosters in Call of Duty history.
