Former Call of Duty world champion Dillon ‘Attach’ Price has announced his retirement from professional play after competing for 11 years.

Attach has achieved various feats throughout his career, including becoming the youngest-ever Call of Duty world champion, winning the 2015 Call of Duty World Championship at just 18 years old.

In a post on X, Attach said: “After 11 years of professional Call of Duty, it’s my time to hang the jersey up. The first moment I played this game, I instantly fell in love. Once I learned about Game Battles and Competitive CoD, it was my dream to become a professional player.

“The fact that I was able to live out my childhood dream and meet so many amazing people along the way will be something I cherish for life.”

Attach then thanked Call of Duty fans for showing up to tournaments and streams to support the competitive scene. He added: “Without you, none of this is possible.”

Attach Becomes Iconic Call of Duty Pro Before Retiring

Attach is best known for becoming the youngest ever world champion at just 18 years old back in 2015, a feat many consider to be the greatest highlight of his career. This is something he touched upon in his “Story of Attach” documentary on his YouTube channel.

This milestone was earned while he was playing for Denial eSports in the Call of Duty Championship 2015, held in Los Angeles, California.

Attach has played for various organisations, including FaZe Clan, Minnesota RØKKR, and most recently Cloud9 New York, before retiring on May 26th, 2025. He has played across various Call of Duty titles, from Black Ops 6 all the way back to Ghosts.

He was last seen competing in the Call of Duty League 2025: Stage 3 Major back in April, where Cloud9 New York lost 0-3 to FaZe Atlanta. However, in the past five years, he has achieved some great highs, including claiming first place in the CDL 2021 Stage 5 Major with Minnesota RØKKR and third place in both the CDL 2023 Stage 2 and 5 Majors.

What’s next for the now retired Call of Duty pro? While he hasn’t explicitly shared what he plans to do going forward, many of his fans suspect he will be committing more time to content creation and streaming, as he already boasts a sizeable following of over 334,000 subscribers on YouTube and 256,000 followers on Twitch.

“I’ve had the honour of winning a world championship and earning multiple pieces of the pie throughout the years,” Attach wrote in the post online. “Now, I’m ready to take a leap of faith and embrace new challenges as I move into the next chapter of my journey.”
