Gen.G has completed the 2025 LCK Spring Split regular season with a flawless 18-0 record, becoming the first team to achieve this since T1 in 2022. Its final match against OKSavingsBank BRION concluded with a decisive 2-0 victory, showcasing the team’s dominance throughout the split.

Gen.G is now the top seed heading into playoffs and the favourite to represent the LCK at MSI 2025. The team’s strong form across the entire season puts them in a solid position to make a deep run internationally at the coming-soon Mid-Season Invitational.

Most of Gen.G’s matches were one-sided, but the squad also proved it can fight back from behind. In several of its 2-1 series wins—against T1, KT Rolster, BNK FEARX, Hanwha Life Esports, and Dplus KIA—Gen.G stayed calm under pressure and actively adapted its approach mid-series.

Whether it was recovering from an early gold deficit or regaining map control after losing tempo, Gen.G consistently found ways to turn the game around. Instead of forcing risky plays, the players waited for the right moment—often around key objectives like Baron—before striking decisively.

Statistically, Gen.G’s Players Stood Out Across the Board

Gen.G’s perfect split isn’t just about winning—it was about how they won. Its approach throughout the season blended patience, discipline and precise execution, especially in high-pressure moments—a perfect mix that should make international teams beware of the LCK team.

According to Gol.gg, Gen.G’s dominance is reflected in the numbers too. Four of the top five players in overall KDA were from Gen.G, starting with Ruler, Chovy, Canyon, and Duro, with the only non-Gen.G player to break into that top five was Viper.

Ruler, in particular, led the league not only in KDA but also in average kills per game, lowest average deaths and topped both CS per minute and gold per minute. Chovy followed closely behind him in farming stats, but surpassed him in damage per minute to enemy champions, leading all LCK players in that stat.

Generally speaking, Gen.G rarely forced early fights without a clear advantage, instead controlling the map and waiting for opponents to overstep. Once it saw an opening, it committed with speed and confidence, often turning mid or late-game teamfights into game-ending plays.

Now, with the regular season complete, Gen.G’s focus shifts to the playoffs. If the team’s talented pros can maintain this level of play, Gen.G is in a strong position to claim the Spring title and head to MSI as the LCK’s top team.
