NBA 2K League team Magic Gaming has entered a deal with water company Boxed Water.

Boxed Water creates environmentally-friendly cardboard cartons of water, and will act as the team’s official water partner. From now on, Magic Gaming will be using Boxed Water’s product instead of plastic water bottles in every professional situation.

Ryan DeVos, Director of Magic Gaming discussed the partnership in a statement: “Magic Gaming is thrilled to announce this socially responsible partnership with Boxed Water. It’s important as an organization to find ways to grow our business, but to also do that in a responsible manner. We are excited to introduce this great concept to all of our fans while integrating them in innovative ways through our digital platforms.”

Magic Gaming is the NBA 2K League team of Orlando Magic. Just last month, the team announced a partnership with football club AS Monaco that involves social engagement between both parties – this was the first international deal made between a team and a sponsor in the league. In June, Magic Gaming made HyperX its official gaming peripherals partner and forged a partnership with CEEK VR.

Daryn Kuiper, CEO of Boxed Water also commented on the deal: “We are proud to be partnering with Magic Gaming and replacing plastic water bottles with Boxed Water from all of their events. Our relationship emphasizes a shared commitment to a “better planet.” This helps us reach a whole new consumer segment who cares about sustainability.”

Esports Insider says: This isn’t your usual run-of-the-mill partnership in the industry, it sees Magic Gaming accept social responsibility and we’re fans of that. It’d be nice to see more of these types of deals made between teams and non-endemic brands in the future.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
