Karmine Corp has achieved victory in Stage 2 of VCT Game Changers EMEA.
The French esports organisation defeated GIANTX GC in the Grand Final, completing an impressive run from the Knockout Round.
After finishing the group stage in fourth place with a 5-4 win-to-loss record, Karmine Corp qualified for the first round of the Playoffs. A 2-1 victory over Twisted Orchid started the momentum for the team, which swept aside G2 Gozen and GIANTX GC to secure a place in the Grand Final.
The team would face off against GIANTX GC in the Grand Final in a hard-fought best-of-five series. After a dominant 13-1 win on Lotus to force a fifth and final map, the momentum was in favour of Karmine Corp, which went on to win Sunset 13-8 to win €15,000 (~£12,810) in prize money along with a place in Stage 3.
The victory cements Karmine Corp’s position as one of the best VCT Game Changers teams in the world, continuing a strong start to the 2025 season. In March, the team achieved victory in Stage 1 after beating GIANTX GC in the final.
In addition to winning the lion’s share of the prize pool, Karmine Corp also walked away with 90 EMEA Points, which determine seeding for the season-ending championship taking place later this year. Following the Stage 2 victory, the team sits at the top of the standings with 150 points, securing qualification for the Game Changers Championship.
What’s Next For VCT Game Changers?
With Stage 2 concluded, attention now turns to Stage 3. Taking place from September 30th to November 2nd, 2025, ten teams from the EMEA region will compete in three weeks of group stage matches to determine the top six teams that will advance to the Playoffs.
The Grand Final will take place at Istanbul’s ESA Esport Arena, where the winner will score €15,000 in prize money along with a place at the Game Changers Championship.
