North American esports organisation Wildcard has announced the addition of Sebastian ‘fr3nd’ Kuśmierz and Jaxo ‘Peeping’ Cornwell to its Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) lineup.

The new additions join Wildcard’s roster after the organisation benched Peter ‘stanislaw’ Jarguz and Love ‘phzy’ Smidebrant on July 1st, 2025.

Fr3nd joins the main roster after a six-month stint on the Wildcard Academy roster. Meanwhile, Peeping joins following two months of free agency after competing under the Nouns Esports banner from January to April.

According to a Dust2.us report, Peeping has been on Wildcard’s radar for several months. In early May, it was reported that the organisation was in negotiations with the up-and-coming player, revealing that he would join the team after the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

Fr3nd has spent his career competing in Polish teams, notably competing for HONORIS, an esports organisation founded by former Virtus.pro players Wiktor ‘TaZ’ Wojtas and Filip ‘NEO’ Kubski. The team disbanded in 2023 due to a lack of financial support.

Wildcard In 2025

2025 has been a year of mixed results for Wildcard. The North American side won Frost and Fire Europe before consecutive top-six finishes at the CCT Season 2 Global Finals and BLAST Rivals Spring, laying the foundations for a solid performance at the Major.

Despite winning its first two matches of Stage 1, the team failed to advance, ending with a 2-3 record and a top 27 placement. As a result, stanislaw and phzy were placed on the bench.

The new-look Wildcard roster makes its debut at the FISSURE Playground 1 event beginning on July 15th. The team is one of 16 competitors in Belgrade, Serbia, vying for a share of $450,000 (~£331,416) in prize money. VRS points that are also on the line, which determine the 32 teams that qualify for the StarLadder Budapest Major in November.
