DreamHack is partnering up with Voodoo Ranger IPA once again for the DreamHack Open at DreamHack Atlanta 2018.
The drinks brand, which is owned by New Belgium Brewing, will be a main sponsor of the DreamHack Open CS:GO competition.
Marcus Lindmark, CEO at DreamHack commented: “Following a great partnership kick-off in Austin earlier this year, we are excited to once again team up with Voodoo Ranger and New Belgium Brewing for our Atlanta event. Longevity matters for us and as such we are thrilled to see new industries activating with us not just once to reach the esports audience.”
DreamHack Open was launched in 2012 as the tournament organiser’s premier esports circuit before DreamHack Masters came onto the scene. With a $100,000 (£76,226.50) prize pool and eight popular teams in attendance, this series has become a staple in CS:GO.
Asher Attick, Brand Activation Manager at New Belgium Company added: “Voodoo Ranger was just devastated after realizing his delicious beer wasn’t available for DreamHack Austin, so he’s back for Atlanta! And this time he’s bringing the beer.”
Taking place over November 16-18th, DreamHack Atlanta will also host collegiate tournaments for League of Legends and Fortnite, the Halo Championship Series (HCS) Finals, the Brawlhalla World Championship, the Hi-Rez Expo, live music, free-to-play LAN areas, and more.
In June, New Belgium Brewing sponsored the DreamHack Open at DreamHack Austin.
Esports Insider says: It’s always encouraging to see a non-endemic company return to sponsor an event, it effectively shows that the first instance was seen as fruitful in some sense. As long as the CS:GO players aren’t replacing their water or energy drinks with the IPA while competing, all seems good!
