NetEase has unveiled more details about the second stage of Marvel Rivals Ignite, the hero shooter’s elite esports scene, where top teams from around the world compete for a place in the Grand Finals.
The developers have shared everything there is to know about the event, from prize pools, format, schedule, and more.
Schedule and Map Pool
Initially teased in the latest Dev Vision for Season 4: Heart of the Dragon, the full schedule from September 11th to October 12th has been published. Similar to Stage 1, the Ignite tournament will take place across five major regions: Asia, China, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Americas (North and South America), and Oceania.
Here is the full schedule for each region of Marvel Rivals Ignite:

- Group Stage W2 – September 18th to 21st.

In every stage, teams will compete in a curated map pool, including maps recently added in the Season 3.5 update.

Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage 2 Format
Teams will compete in Ignite Stage 2 either through a direct invitation from a previous esports event, such as the Season 2 Championships, or via the Open Qualifiers. However, each region will have slight variations in how the tournament will be formatted.
Americas and EMEA will have the most number of teams, at 16 each. In the Group Stage, team will be divided into two groups, following a Double Elimination Bo3 format. Only the top four teams will qualify for the Playoffs.
Asia and China will have 12 teams each competing, divided into two groups. Both regions will have a Round Robin, Bo3 match format during the Group Stage. The top four teams will qualify for the Playoffs.
Oceania will have the fewest number of teams competing at only eight, which will also be divided into two groups for the Group Stage. Only the top two teams will qualify for the Playoffs.
All regional Playoffs will take place with a Double Elimination bracket, and matches will be Bo5. On the other hand, the Grand Finals of each region will be a Bo7 series.
Prize Pool and Grand Finals Slots
Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage 2 will have $675,000 (~£497,150) in total prize pool funds up for grabs across the regions.

All teams will also be competing for a place in the Ignite Grand Finals later this year, which NetEase has confirmed will be a LAN event similar to the Mid-Season Finals. Four slots are allocated to Americas, three to EMEA, two to Asia, two for China, and one to Oceania.
