Esports Charts has announced a data partnership with geography guessing game GeoGuessr.
As a result of the deal, the esports data platform will deliver viewership data for the title’s esports tournaments.
According to a release, Esports Charts will provide dedicated tournament dashboard data for GeoGuessr tournaments taking place across the globe. The data collected enables event organisers to analyse regional performance, along with making ‘data-driven decisions’ when planning future tournaments.
Since launching in 2023, GeoGuessr’s esports circuit has continued to grow at an impressive rate. In 2025, the title hosted events in Japan, the United States and Sweden.
“Esports Charts is thrilled to support GeoGuessr’s esports events,” said Sergii Rudenko, CEO of Esports Charts. “Our team even enjoys the game together during team activities, so it’s fun to combine that passion with our analytics expertise.”
“By providing clear insights into viewership and engagement, we hope to help the organisers nurture and grow GeoGuessr’s competitive scene globally.”
The GeoGuessr World Cup 2025 event became the most-watched GeoGuessr tournament of all time, recording a peak of 363,415 viewers who tuned in to watch Radu ‘Radu C‘ Casapu take home $48,470 (~£35,792) in prize money.
GeoGuessr’s Esports Potential
Following a successful 2025, GeoGuessr’s potential as an esports title continues to grow with new partners joining forces with the title, as it prepares for a new season.
Esports Charts becomes the second partner of the title, joining gaming web browser Opera GX as part of its expanding portfolio.
Alongside attracting new partners, the title is no stranger to acknowledging the feedback of its community regarding decisions behind its esports efforts.
After announcing GeoGuessr’s presence at the Esports World Cup, the title withdrew from the event following widespread fan backlash that resulted in several maps used in competitive play becoming unplayable.
