The 16 teams competing in ESL Pro League Season 22 Stage 2 are set following a first stage full of surprise results.

After six days of matches, the top six teams from Stage 1 will compete in another five-round Swiss stage alongside Stage 2 invites for a place in the Playoffs. Esports Insider checks out all of the teams competing in the second stage of the tournament.

ESL Pro League Season 22 Stage 2 Teams

Taking place from October 4th to 8th, 2025, Stage 2 of Pro League features nine of the top ten from September’s Valve Regional Standings (VRS), making it one of the most competitive phases of a Tier 1 tournament this year.

Here’s a closer look at all of the teams that look to advance to the Playoffs:

  • Team Spirit (Sept. VRS: 1st)
  • Team Vitality (Sept. VRS: 2nd)
  • The MongolZ (Sept. VRS: 3rd)
  • MOUZ (Sept. VRS: 4th)
  • Team Falcons (Sept. VRS: 5th)
  • Aurora Gaming (Sept. VRS: 6th)
  • NAVI (Sept. VRS: 7th)
  • 3DMAX (Sept. VRS: 8th)
  • FURIA (Sept. VRS: 10th)
  • Astralis (Sept. VRS: 11th)
  • FaZe Clan (Sept. VRS: 12th)
  • G2 Esports (Sept. VRS: 15th)
  • GamerLegion (Sept. VRS: 16th)
  • Gentle Mates (Sept. VRS: 26th)
  • Inner Circle Esports (Sept. VRS: 33rd)
  • HOTU (Sept. VRS: 73rd)

The last-minute addition of Gentle Mates has proven fruitful. The all-Spanish roster took the spot previously held by Lynn Vision Gaming, resulting in the team earning a place in Stage 1.

Gentle Mates kicked off Stage 1 with victories over HEROIC and G2 Esports, earning valuable VRS points in the battle for a place at November’s StarLadder Budapest Major. Despite a defeat to Inner Circle Esports in round three, the Spaniards swept aside Legacy in round four to secure a place in Stage 2.

Elsewhere, Stage 2 marks the debut of a new-look FaZe Clan, after Russel ‘Twistzz‘ Van Dulken returned to the organisation in place of Håvard ‘rain‘ Nygaard, who departs FaZe after almost a decade on the starting lineup.

Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
