KRAFTON, the game publisher behind PUBG, has officially announced that the PUBG Players Masters Invitational (PPMI) will be taking place in Seoul, South Korea.
The competition will see 16 invited teams across China, EMEA, the Americas, Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam compete over three days from December 19th to December 21st. The hosting venue will be PUBG Seongsu, the multifaceted cultural space created by KRAFTON for its flagship battle royale game.
The PUBG Players Masters Invitational will feature teams competing in the Third-Person Perspective (TPP) mode. The game mode was introduced as a global esports initiative with the PUBG Players Tour earlier this year across all regions, bringing a structured competition across five major regions and a new viewing experience for fans.
The event will see not only professional players but also the involvement of streamers, influencers, and community creators from around the globe, as well as on-site experiences, according to a release.
The action will start each day at 10:00 AM KST (1:00 AM BST). Invited teams include EMEA’s Natus Vincere (NAVI) and Twisted Minds, Korea’s T1 and Gen.G, as well as China’s JDG Esports and 17 Gaming, among others.
PUBG Players Masters Invitational Is After the PGC
Before the invited teams head to Seoul, however, some will have to first take part in the most important tournament of the competitive season, the PUBG Global Championship (PGC).
Taking place in Bangkok at the Siam Paragon Bangkok (for the final) and the centralwOrld Pulse from November 28th to December 14th, the 33 participating teams will fight for a share of its $1.5m (~£1.14m) prize pool.
The tournament will be hosted jointly alongside the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC), as KRAFTON decided to unite the competitions under one event, the PUBG UNITED 2025. PMGC will be running from November 24th to December 14th, featuring a $3m (~£2.28m) prize pool.
