Online gambling company 1xBet has announced a partnership with the VALORANT roster of Brazilian esports organisation MIBR.

According to 1xBet, the company has become the first betting partner within Riot Games‘ esports ecosystem.

Both parties noted that collaborations will take place to create ‘a new, immersive fan base’, aiming to expand MIBR’s presence across the world and to generate interest in Riot’s FPS title.

Throughout 2025, MIBR cemented its place as one of the top teams competing in VCT Americas. After becoming the only team from South America to qualify for Masters Toronto 2025. The team rounded off the season with a top-six finish at VALORANT Champions 2025.

“This is a historic step for 1xBet  — becoming the first official betting partner of an esports team within the Riot Games ecosystem,” said Simon Westbury, Strategic Advisor at 1xBet.

“MIBR features some of the most visible and talented players in Latin America, and we aim to strengthen VALORANT’s presence across the LATAM region.”

In January, Riot Games permitted gambling sponsors for teams competing in League of Legends and VALORANT, marking a shift in the publisher’s policies. The change provides its partnered teams with an additional revenue stream, aligning the two titles with industry norms.

1xBet In 2025

1xBet continues to expand its presence within the esports industry, with South America a focus in its expansion plans. In September, the company partnered with Bestia in a deal that focused on its Counter-Strike team.

In the same month, it joined forces with 9z Team, becoming the organisation’s title sponsor and assisting with the development of Argentina’s Counter-Strike esports scene.

As 1xBet becomes the first betting sponsor to appear in a Riot Games esports league, it will be interesting to see whether other organisations follow in the steps of MIBR and join forces with other bookmakers within the space.
