Rocket League has unveiled a set of in-game banners celebrating the winners of Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) tournaments.
Banners commemorating the winners from the 2025 season arrived to the car football title on January 22nd, 2026, as part of the v2.64 update.
Arriving to the Champions Field pitch, banners celebrating NRG’s victory at the World Championship and Hisham ‘Nwpo‘ Alqadi’s win in the 1v1 competition hang from the stadium’s rafters alongside other banners from previous RLCS seasons.
Following the conclusion of an RLCS season, Rocket League adds the banners into Champions Field to celebrate their achievements.
In addition to the arrival of banners, the v2.64 update included the launch of Cartman’s Crash Out LTE as part of Epic Games’ wider collaboration with South Park. The cartoon series launched a collaboration with Fortnite on January 9th, introducing new quests and cosmetic items.
Rocket League isn’t the only esports title to commemorate the results of major tournaments through the addition of in-game items. In December 2025, Activision celebrated the Call of Duty: Warzone scene to acknowledge the winners of the World Series of Warzone and the Esports World Cup with a range of in-game banners and statues.
What Next For The RLCS?
Outside of updates, the 2026 RLCS season is well underway with regions taking part in the second online open of the Boston Major cycle. Karmine Corp and MIBR won the European and South American tournaments, resulting in both sides topping the standings.
The online opens for the Boston Major continues on January 23rd with the group stage for North America. Defending world champions NRG begin its Group A campaign against Shuffles Kittens, while Shopify Rebellion takes on Dignitas in Group B.
Shopify Rebellion looks to secure another victory after winning the first open of the season. The winning team secures $21,000 (~£15,521) in prize money, along with 15 RLCS points that determine which teams qualify for the Boston Major taking place in February.
