Toronto-based media and entertainment company OverActive Media has announced the promotion of Louis Zhang to Chief Financial Officer.

Joining OverActive as its EVP of Finance towards the end of 2025, Zhang has been working as Interim CFO after former executive Rikesh Shah announced his departure last November. The newly promoted CFO will continue to oversee all aspects of the company’s finance, accounting, treasury, and capital markets activities.

Starting as a financial analyst in 2008, Zhang has nearly two decades of finance-related work experience, with a strong background across accounting, auditing, and financial controlling.

Before joining OverActive Media, he worked for nearly seven years at the advertising and public relations company Dentsu as VP Corporate Controller and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

OverActive Media Continues To Expand

Currently listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, OverActive Media is mainly known for owning Movistar KOI in League of Legends and Toronto KOI in Call of Duty.

Aside from competitive esports operations, it also acts as an event and influencer talent agency, and has recently launched ActiveVoices, an AI-powered content localisation platform.

At the end of 2025, the company had released its Q3 financial results, recording CAD$7.8m (~£4.2m) in revenues and a comprehensive loss of CAD$3m (~£1.6m). The company is expected to release its FY25 financials in the coming weeks. Stock is currently trading at CAD$0.2250 (~£0.12) per share.

Adam Adamou, Chief Executive Officer, of OverActive Media, has commented on the announcement: “Louis has been a key leader for us through an important period in OverActive’s evolution.

“He has helped sharpen our focus on profitability and cash discipline, strengthened our finance function and supported the strategic work we are doing across Toronto, Madrid, Barcelona and Berlin. Elevating him to Chief Financial Officer reflects both his impact to date and the confidence we have in him as we move into the next phase of our plan.”

Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
