European organisation G2 Esports has announced its entry into Teamfight Tactics (TFT), unveiling a four-player roster for Riot Games’ autobattler title.
The team revealed the move in a post on X (formerly Twitter). “A new arena to dominate,” the announcement states. “Introducing G2 TFT.”
G2 Esports, best known for its success in titles such as League of Legends and VALORANT, has now expanded into the growing competitive TFT ecosystem — a strategy-based game mode within the League of Legends client where players build teams of champions that battle automatically.
G2 Signs Established European Talent
The roster is made up of Muhammed ‘Canbizz’ Canbaz, alongside Emre ‘Double61’ Demirtas, Enzo ‘Enzosx’ Bordonzotti, and Laurent ‘Pas de Bol’ Cidere, all of French nationality. Canbaz, a French-Turkish player, has competed at multiple S-Tier TFT events over the past two years.
His results include a fourth-place finish at Rising Legends: Inkborn Fables – Finals in July 2024 and appearances at the Esports World Cup 2024 and the Inkborn Fables Tactician’s Crown.
Double61 brings the most extensive international experience. The player won the Galaxies Championship in 2020 and has consistently placed highly at regional and global events, including a second-place finish at the Inkborn Fables Tactician’s Crown in July 2024. Enzosx has also featured at top-tier competitions, securing a top-eight finish at the Esports World Cup 2024 and a fifth-place result at the Monsters Attack! Championship in 2023.
Meanwhile, Pas de Bol adds further pedigree to the lineup. Pas de Bol achieved a top-four finish at the Esports World Cup 2025 and previously won the EMEA: Fates – Finals in 2021.
Following the announcement, the newly-signed player wrote on X: “So proud to announce that I’m joining G2! An amazing opportunity, I’m going to give it my all to represent them best.”
Canbizz also shared his reaction, posting: “New challenge, new home. Joined @G2esports. Thankful for the trust. Time to write a new story.”
G2 Esports’ account responded in kind, stating, “This story is gonna be a banger.”
G2 and TFT’s Continued Expansion
G2’s move into TFT marks another expansion of its competitive portfolio. The Berlin-based organisation has historically focused on team-based esports titles, but TFT — which is primarily played in individual formats — presents a different competitive structure.
The TFT esports ecosystem has grown in recent years, bolstered by events such as the Esports World Cup and Riot Games’ regional circuits. Prize pools at international events have reached six-figure sums, reflecting increased publisher support and third-party investment, though still not on the level of the company’s team-based esports in VALORANT and League of Legends.
It remains to be seen how G2 will integrate TFT into its broader esports strategy, particularly given the game’s individual-focused format compared to traditional five-versus-five titles.
With four experienced players now under its banner, G2 has positioned itself to compete across EMEA and international TFT events in the upcoming season.
