Valve has released an update for Counter-Strike 2 that makes several adjustments to Inferno’s A site with the aim of making it easier for defenders to retake the area.

In addition to the map changes, players can set maximum values for Arms Dealer offers made through Genesis Terminals.

Released on March 4th, 2026, the update has closed off the graveyard, reducing the number of post-plant positions attackers can utilise in the latter stages of a round. In addition to the graveyard changes, Valve has extended the apartment balcony around the corner to create a larger area.

Whilst it may appear like minor changes, this update could have an immediate impact on the esports scene. With ESL Pro League Season 23 currently underway, the revamped Inferno is being used in competitive matches as the final matches of Stage 1 take place.

Inferno’s small window at the Second Mid balcony has also seen its clipping adjusted to optimise performance.

Outside of map changes, the update enables players to continue using items that are listed on the community market until they’re sold, alongside fixing a ‘slight tilt’ in the chicken running animation.
