Jon Tilbury, Executive Director of NSE commented in a release: “Universities have always been a hub for the next generation of talent in any emerging industry and it’s no different for esports. We’re excited to work with ESL in creating opportunities for students whether they aspire to be a professional player, or working behind the scenes to produce some of the world’s biggest tournaments.”

NSE confirmed that its partnership with ESL first kicked off from a workshop spearheaded by Intel. The companies were brought together to provide a platform for students from across the UK, highlighting the positive impact gained from their experiences from esports in education.

Heather Dower, Marketing and Communication Manager at ESL UK added: “We are very excited to start working with NSE in such a positive and engaging way for university students. Working closely together is going to be crucial for the future growth of the UK Esports industry. We can’t wait to share more details very soon!”

NSE currently runs the British University Esports Championship, a large-scale competition for students to represent their university across games such as League of Legends and CS:GO. NSE has named drinks brand Monster Energy and technology company Intel as partners for the competition.

Esports Insider says: It’s great to see a large organisation like ESL getting involved with collegiate esports in the UK. Education is key in helping inspire the next generation of gamers, and with ESL on-board, we look forward to seeing what initiatives this partnership creates.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
