Esports Performance Academy, a company that works with schools and universities in Dallas and Fort Worth to develop future esports talent, has launched.
It was founded by Andrew Cooley and Andrew English, alumni of Infinite Esports & Entertainment – the former parent company of OpTic Gaming and Houston Outlaws.

Cooley is the former Head Coach of OpTic Gaming’s LCS Academy team, later moving on to become the President of GG Esports Academy (GGEA) – a development-focused company also owned by Infinite Esports & Entertainment.
English worked for GGEA in business development and as a Team Support Coordinator, helping to manage the League of Legends team, overseeing the budget and expenses of the program, working with Cooley on strategy, and more.
Cooley commented on the launch in a release: “We want to legitimize esports coaching, rapidly accelerate player performance and improvement, and give the new generation everything we didn’t have as we traveled down the path to professional play. Our goal is to set new standards for the industry. It’s a crucial time, as there are still minimal resources that focus on doing this, and typically what does exist is executed improperly.”

Esports Performance Academy currently works with the likes of Texas Wesleyan University and the Dallas Independent School District, helping to mold students into future professionals and gearing them up for a career beyond competing.
