Chris DeAppolonio, President of Houston Outlaws, spoke to Esports Insider about the deal: “We are excited to partner with Respawn Products and to have them help outfit the Outlaws’ training space in Texas. Their focus on ergonomic design was a big plus for our team.”

Unlike most partnerships that involve gaming chairs, there’s no word at the time of writing as to whether Houston Outlaws will have its own branded chair available for purchase by fans.

Alex Gonzalez, Sponsorship and Promotional Lead at Respawn Products, told Esports Insider: “We put a lot of effort into finding partners that align with what we think a true partnership looks like and should be within this space. The Outlaws are already one of the most popular teams within the Overwatch League and under their new ownership we have no doubt they will continue to strive as they head into the upcoming season. Respawn is very happy to have provided their new facility with the highest quality of gaming furniture out there on the market to help them accomplish these goals.”

Houston Outlaws is also partnered with mobile communications company T-Mobile, retail gaming destination GameStop, gaming accessory manufacturer Turtle Beach, and supermarket chain H-E-B.

Esports Insider says: Houston Outlaws is gearing up for a big year as part of the Overwatch League and having adequate training resources is an important aspect of its overall performance. With that in mind, this seems like a sensible partnership for the franchise.
