Overwatch League franchise San Francisco Shock has established a partnership with office furniture company Herman Miller.
In line with typical gaming chair deals, NRG Esports’ franchise will promote Herman Miller’s gaming product.

Herman Miller unveiled its first gaming-focused product, the Embody Gaming Chair, as part of its alliance with peripherals brand Logitech G on July 22nd. The partnership, which is centred around developing products specifically for gamers and competitors, was established in February.
This partnership will see San Francisco Shock promote Herman Miller’s newly-released chair, though details on activations have not been disclosed at the time of writing. The team’s players will utilise the Embody chair as part of the deal.

Herman Miller entered the esports industry in November last year through a deal with North American organisation Complexity Gaming, kitting its GameStop Performance Center out with its products. Earlier today, TSM announced an alliance with the furniture manufacturer.
Esports Insider says: It’s clear that now that Herman Miller has a product available for purchase, it’s going into marketing mode. Gaming chair partnerships are commonplace in esports so we don’t expect anything new or innovative, though it’ll strengthen the competition in the marketplace which should only be a positive for esports.
