Red Bull and Riot Games’ League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) have partnered to launch this year’s rendition of Red Bull Solo Q, the “ultimate 1v1 experience for amateur League of Legends (LoL) players.”

For the first time, the unique competition will include the United States, with both U.S. and Canadian online qualifiers beginning this month.

In celebration, Red Bull will release all-new Red Bull Solo Q cans, featuring LoL champions Conqueror, Alistar, and Yasuo alongside competition branding. The limited edition cans will be available nationwide and will include access to a Solo Q leaderboard and other in-game perks via a special code on the tab.

Red Bull Solo Q pulls away from League of Legends’ traditional 5v5 team format to highlight individual skill in 1v1 gameplay. Amateur players will battle in the top lane of Summoner’s Rift where victory can be obtained by either drawing “First Blood” against enemies, achieving a 100-minion creep score first, or by destroying an opponent’s outer turret.

Matt Archambault, Head of NA Esports Partnerships and Business Development at Riot Games, stated in a release: “As a proud partner of the LCS, Red Bull always looks to impress and raise the bar for our fans year after year. In celebration of this unique competition experience for our respective communities, we’re also delighted for the first-ever Red Bull Solo Q Limited Edition cans to come to market.”

The Red Bull Solo Q begins in the U.S. on August 31. More information on the event, including registration, will be available on August 18.

Esports Insider says: In 2019, the Red Bull Player One 1v1 League of Legends tournament opened the door to 25,000 players from 29 countries. The Red Bull Solo Q is a fantastic way to shine the spotlight on the NA League of Legends amateur talent while also spreading the Red Bull brand in a creative way.

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
