Danish tournament organiser BLAST has established a partnership with blockchain technology company Hdac Technology.
The company’s BLAST Premier Counter-Strike: Global Offensive circuit will feature Hdac Technology’s branding throughout its Fall Series, Showdown, and Finals.

The deal includes branding opportunities such as content and giveaways, with Hdac Technology also sponsoring a broadcast integration called ‘The Economy Play’ that features analysts discussions on economy rounds.
Leo Matlock, Commercial Director for BLAST, spoke on the deal in a release: “BLAST and Hdac share a passion and focus on innovation and technology, which makes this partnership the perfect fit. In esports, our key audience are naturally more attuned to new technologies and pioneering industries – making them more open minded to the world of cryptocurrency and blockchain.
“We look forward to developing our partnership and are excited to see what can be achieved by bringing blockchain technology into the world of esports and Counter-Strike.”

Earlier this week, BLAST restructured its financial structure to greater benefit its partner teams for BLAST Premier. The company cites COVID-19’s impact on the esports industry as the reason behind the revision, hoping that the change “will help provide a more sustainable model for the broader industry.”
