North American organisation Cloud9 has announced the signing of an all-female VALORANT roster.
The team formerly known as Team MAJKL will now compete as ‘Cloud9 White’. Moreover, the organisation’s all-male team will be rebranded to ‘Cloud9 Blue’.

Alongside revealing the new roster, it was also announced that the organisation has expanded its partnership with telecommunications company AT&T. The expansion will see the company become a sponsor of Cloud9 White.
Gaylen Malone, Senior General Manager at Cloud9, commented on the announcement: “What stood out to me about MAJKL is that they had to work hard to perfect their play, find each other, and then compete as a unit.
“They are a talented group of women who came together with the goal of being the best at the game and were committed to doing what it took to get there, and watching their improvement over just the past few months has been incredible.”

Alongside AT&T, Cloud9 currently has a total of ten partners including the likes of BMW, EPOS, Kaiser Permanente, Microsoft, PUMA, Red Bull, Secretlab, and Twitch.

Esports Insider says: Seeing an organisation acquire an all-female roster is something that has been done before. Nevertheless, as organisations attempt to appeal to the female demographic, acquiring one of the top female VALORANT rosters is certainly a good way to do so.
