Forest Interactive‘s development platform Forest Interactive Gaming Habitat Team (FIGHT) and digital wallet platform Wallet Codes have unveiled a partnership with Singaporean game developer Garena.
The partnership is said to focus on bolstering the Malaysian esports scene by building communities and developing businesses.

This particular partnership has come about after Wallet Codes collaborated with Garena to release Garena Shells, a range of gaming vouchers. FIGHT joined forces with the game developer to host a Call of Duty: Mobile tournament set to take place at the 2020 Level Up KL gaming festival.
Adi Azfar, Product Operation Manager at Forest Interactive, commented on the partnership: “Having Garena on-board on Wallet Codes through this partnership allows the expansion of our product range, which is in line with our goal to be a leading digital code platform in the region. Gamers can enjoy more alternative payment options and get the best value for their money with seasonal promotions through Wallet Codes.”

Teams participating in the tournament will have the opportunity to compete for a share of MYR 5,000 (£929.98) in prize money and 20,000 Call of Duty Points worth MYR 800 (£148.80).

Esports Insider says: Esports in Malaysia has slowly begun to move forward with the likes of EA Sports entering the market in recent months. This particular partnership looks to continue the growth of esports in the region and it will be interesting to see what comes from it in the coming months.
