2020 has been a year of partnerships, extensions and formations for EXCEL. The organisation secured extensions of its partnerships with gaming peripherals manufacturer HyperX and with custom computer building company Chillblast alongside finding a new strategic partner in the form of Newzoo.

Robin McCammon, Chief Commercial Officer at EXCEL, spoke on the latest announcement: “We’re extremely pleased to extend our partnership with Belong Gaming Arenas, an important organisation within the UK gaming space that supports the growth and development of esports at a grassroots level. As EXCEL continues to evolve, it’s important we work with partners that align with our vision. This partnership will help us continue to nurture and showcase the best UK talent the space has to offer and we look forward to future activations where we can bring both our communities together.”

In July, it was reported that esports infrastructure company Vindex would acquire Belong from UK games retailer GAME. The infrastructure company is said to be looking to open over 500 gaming and esports venues in the United States in the next five years.

Andy Dopson, Head of Belong UK, also commented on the deal: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with EXCEL. Partnering with the EXCEL team allows us to bring their fans and our community together across our gaming network.

“We will continue to offer exciting new events and content alongside EXCEL as well as offering safe, inclusive community spaces across the UK where casual and competitive gamers can compete in organised grassroots esports tournaments and socialise with others who share their passion for gaming.”

Esports Insider says: Both EXCEL and Belong have done a great job in building up and cultivating interest in esports in the UK. After executing many successful activations, it comes as no surprise to see the two parties continuing their partnership.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
