Gambling firm Esports Entertainment Group (EEG) has signed a multi-year agreement to serve as the official esports provider for the Philadelphia Eagles, with the NFL team, in turn, becoming an EEG shareholder.
The partnership sees EEG become the first esports tournament provider for an NFL club. EEG will operate bi-annual Madden NFL esports tournaments for the Eagles utilizing the Esports Gaming League (EGL) platform, which the company announced its intention to acquire in August.

Esports Entertainment Group will work with Eagles players to create custom videos that will promote the tournaments across multiple digital channels.
Grant Johnson, CEO of Esports Entertainment Group commented on the partnership in a release, saying: “We are thrilled to partner with the Philadelphia Eagles as they introduce their fans to the world of competitive esports gaming.

Esports Entertainment offers fixed-odds wagering, fantasy and pools on various esports events. It owns and operates online sportsbook, SportNation.bet. Through Esports Gaming League, EEG organises both live and online events and tournaments in addition to live broadcast production, game launches, and online branded tournaments.
